Meet the Staff
Jenny Rodgers, BSRDH
Jenny is proud to be one of the few who can claim she was born and raised in Cary, NC. She went on to attend the University of North Carolina where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. Upon graduation in 1999 she took her first job as a dental hygienist with the Bufanos.
Shortly after beginning her new job she was married and now has two children. She loves reading, going to the beach, camping and spending time with her family. She also enjoys teaching Sunday school at her local church.
Liz Shelton, CDA, RDH
Liz grew up in Chapel Hill, NC, but eventually moved to Raleigh and graduated from Enloe High School. Upon graduation Liz attended Wake Technical Community College and graduated as a Certified Dental Assistant in 1995. She worked as a dental assistant for four years before attending Wayne Community College in Goldsboro, NC. In 2001 she received her Associates in Applied Science in Dental Hygiene and immediately began working for the Bufanos.
Liz enjoys reading, running and spending time with her husband and daughter.
Tracey Day, DAII
Tracey is proud to say she was born and raised in Raleigh, NC where she attended Millbrook High School. Tracey began her career in dentistry in 1995 where she was trained as a DAII at Bowman Gray. She has been a chairside assistant with the Bufanos since 2005. Tracey is married and has a son who keeps her very busy!
She enjoys spending time with her family who all still reside in NC. She also enjoys spending time at the beach, reading, playing tennis and most importantly watching her son play baseball.
Kim Jones, CDA, Receptionist
Kim is another native to North Carolina born and raised in Wayne County. She grew up in Dudley, NC where she started working on her Dad's tobacco farm at a young age. After attending Wayne Community College in Goldsboro she obtained her Certified Dental Assistant certificate in 1995. She began working for the Bufanos in 1998 as a dental assistant.
In 2006, she expanded her duties and is now in charge of the front desk. Kim also married shortly after beginning her job at the Bufanos and now has two children. She loves reading and spending time with her family. She and her husband are also very active in their church youth group.
